Sanibel is known for its pristine beaches and laid back environment.  However, there is plenty to do on the island.  It is best known for its shelling.  A romp on the beach can yield buckets of goodies... far too many to ever take home.  Once you have your fill of the beach, we suggest the following.

Fun Things To Do

Go shelling and relax on the beach!! Rent a boat and explore the area islands. Go to Cabbage Key for lunch... you can only get there by boat! Make it a point to visit the golf courses on both Sanibel and Captiva. Rent bikes and tour the Island. Charter a fishing expedition or fish from the beach at the condo or on the Sanibel fishing pier. Rent a bike at Tarpon Bay and tour the Ding Darling nature preserve. Watch out for the alligators! Lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Have lunch or dinner at the Bubble Room. Go hungry! Enjoy a romantic evening at Windows on the Water Enjoy the live entertainnment at the Mucky Duck on Captiva. Kids and adults will enjoy the fun. Leave the kids at home and head to the Jacaranda for dinner and dancing! The shopping on Sanibel is top notch... plenty of specialty shops salt and peppered throughout the island.
